How to straighten your curly hair bundles? (without excessive damage)

Whether you are looking some versatility or simply just want a change, you can easily change your curly 100% human hair bundles into silky flowing straight hair.

The real question however, is how do you go from curly hair to straight hair without all the damage. By damage we certainly mean heat damage, which will most likely not be easy to reverse if the heating aspect of the conversion process isn’t carried out properly.

So, before you say no to this notion, down below we have listed a few helpful tips on how to properly straighten your curly bundles while successfully preventing them from being excessively damaged by the heat.

Steps on how to properly straighten your curly bundles

  1. Hair quality – the first thing you may want to do before straightening your curly bundles is to ensure that the hair is 100% human hair and can take heat. One way to do this is by taking a small section as a sample and test it out to determine if heat can be used. Once appropriately assessed, you can then proceed.

  2. Hair prep – with this step you will want to ensure that the hair is thoroughly detangled, cleaned and adequately prepared for the upcoming heat process. So, what you will need to do is to ensure that the hair is properly washed using products that do not contain too many harsh chemicals. Start off by using a small amount of shampoo, followed by a conditioner. Remove the excess water from the hair then proceed to the next step.

  3. Straighten – With this step you will want to begin by blow-drying the hair from the roots to the ends until the hair is thoroughly dry. Next, using minimum heat, as well as a heat protector begin to straight the hair, section by section using your straightening iron/flatiron. Tip: please refrain from using extremely high heat, use only if necessary.

  4. Apply oil – This step is relatively optional, but highly recommended. When you have finished with the heating process from step 3, apply some oil, such as a serum or argan oil to the hair in order to keep it silky and smooth. This will also help you to fight frizz and will prevent your hair from having too many flyaway strands. Tip: please use these products in moderation.
Seeing that you are all done, you will now have silky smooth straight hair to enjoy. Stay tuned for our next blog on how to successfully get your curls back.
