Reversion process (for curly hair that have been straightened)

So, you’ve successfully straightened your curly hair bundles or wigs, and now you’re yearning to bring your curls back, well if this is you then you are in the right place. In this blog we will be giving tips on how to get your curly hair bundles to snap back after being straightened. In preparation of this, you must ensure you have all the necessary products needed to bring your curls back. Firstly, you will need a shampoo and conditioner, and these products must be free from harsh chemicals that might further damage the hair. Next, you will want to ensure you have some sort of leave in conditioner or hair lotion to keep the hair moisturized when it is being prepared to dry. If you have all of these products on hand then you can now begin the reversion process.

Steps to go from Straight to Curly again:

Step 1 – Getting the hair wet
Start off by getting the straightened hair wet. Ensure that the hair is thoroughly wet before proceeding to the next step. This will help you to already be able to assess if the hair has been extremely heat damaged.

Step 2 – Apply shampoo and conditioner
Next step is to apply shampoo and conditioner to the wet hair. Using a light amount of shampoo begin to cleanse the hair, then immediately follow up by coating the hair with a moderate amount of conditioner. You should do this while simultaneously finger combing the hair. Tip: When applying the conditioner, ensure that you let the product sit on the hair for a few minutes (approximately about 5-10 minutes). Rinse thoroughly.

Step 3 – After Care
At this stage you should be able to see the curls reappear.  You will now need to ensure that you scrunch the ends of the hair, apply your leave-in conditioner, and let the hair air dry. This simply means that you should leave the hair to dry on its own without the use of any additional heating tools.

Now that you are all done, all that’s left is for you to wait for it to dry and enjoy your refreshed curls!
