LACE CLOSURE or FRONTAL: WHICH IS BETTER?

You’ve already got your bundles, but now you must decide if you should get a closure or frontal to complete your look. Well, choosing hair texture or style that you want may be the easiest but choosing between a closure or frontal may be a bit difficult.

So, we’ll help you learn the difference between closures and frontals in order for you to achieve the perfect look that you desire!

How do you decide which one is right for you?

Well, if you're a complete beginner or newcomer to the fabulous world of wigs and weaves, we highly recommend starting small and simple with a closure since frontals are more advanced and can be a lot of work to upkeep. This is because when you first install a frontal, you must do some customization to get the natural look you're trying to achieve. In contrast, lace closures are normally 4x4 inches in size and are placed in the middle of the head mostly for a middle part; however, over the past years, lace closures have increased in size to allow for more parting space and also to mimic the look of a lace frontal without the work.

The additional size they are now available in are 5x5 and 6x6, they are not only made to do a middle part but can also achieve side parts and even baby hairs if you wish.

On the other hand, lace frontals are typically 13x4 and 13x6 inches in size, and they go from ear-to-ear which gives greater coverage. This will in turn allow you to be able to part the hair anywhere and gives more flexibility in styling. Lace frontals are more versatile than lace closures because it provides a more realistic look especially when customized. However, even though it may sound like a frontal may be the best option, it does require a lot of maintenance.

Nonetheless, the right choice will always be based on your personal hair needs.  So, whether you pick a closure are frontal, we know that you will look fabulous either way!
