1. Detangling
When detangling curly hair, it is important to be very gentle. Try using a wide tooth comb instead of a brush. Begin detangling the hair by sectioning your hair into different parts. After doing so, work on each section individually. Hold the section in your hand while detangling from the bottom and working your way up.

2. Washing
Try to stay away from harsh shampoos and avoid shampooing your hair excessively. Use sulfate free shampoo or pre shampoo to refrain from stripping away any moisture from the hair.

3. Styling
We all love to have the best of both worlds with curly and straight but unfortunately heat usage can be damaging to curly hair. It is usually recommended to buy straight hair extensions and curly hair extensions instead of using heat on your curly hair. But if it is a must, then you can protect your curls by using a heat protectant and use moderate heat. If you are on the go and do not have time to let your curly hair air dry, then dry your hair using an attachable diffuser when blow drying.

4. Sleep Routine
If you have a sew-in, you can pull all your hair into a high loose bun or ponytail and tie it with a hair tie. After doing so, either place a scarf or bonnet on to refrain from rubbing your hair against your pillow.
