Closures vs Frontals

closures vs frontals

If you are ever looking for a way to eliminate the need for blending your natural hair with your weave, then your dilemma could be solved with the use of a closure or frontal. Not only do closures and frontals help your weave to look very natural looking but it helps to really transform your entire appearance without the need to tamper with your own hair. So, whether you get a sew-in or a have a wig made, with the use of a closure or a frontal you will be able to have a natural looking install whenever you desire.

Closure:

As the name suggests, a closure is a top piece that is often used to close off an install. Closures are made of lace, either silk, HD, or transparent, and usually measure up to be 4 inches wide and 4 inches long. However, though the standard size of a closure is often thought to be 4x4 inches, on the market currently you could also get a closure that measures 6 inches wide and 6 inches long(6”x6”). These closures often provide a little more room for you to be able to create more styles, given that you will have a few more inches to create more parts.

Frontal:

As implied by the word “frontal,” these types of top pieces cover the entire front of your hairline, from ear to ear. Measuring 13 inches wide and 4 inches long, frontals are great for those who want to experiment with having much more flexibility when styling their hair, rather than simply just maintaining a fixed part.

Difference between Closure Frontal
Size Typically measures 4x4” or 6x6” Typically measures 13x4”
Goes from temple to temple. Goes from ear to ear.
Cost Due to its relatively small size, closures tend to be much cheaper than frontals. Covering more space than a closure, the cost of a frontal is often pricier.
Versatility Limited parting space. Total freedom when it comes to parting along the hairline.
Often parted in the middle or slightly to the side. Styles that can be achieved: half up/half down, top bun etc.
Installation Very easy to install and maintain. A little bit more tedious to work with than a closure.
No adhesive is necessary Often requires the use of adhesive

Best Option for you

Hair Grade

When deciding on the best option for you, it will all come down to preference, budget and the style you desire. Therefore, neither options are deemed better than the other. If you are looking for something that will give you a lot of versatility and that will cover your entire hairline, then undoubtedly a frontal would be your best option. On the other hand, if you are looking for something simple and budget-friendly, that will still provide you with a natural looking part, then a closure will be the best option in this case.

Regardless of what your preference might be, rest assured that our closures and frontals are intricately designed to give you the best possible look that will complete your desired style beautifully.
